Updated! One highlight of the OMT Division Business Meeting is the unveiling of the OMT Artifact. This year's artifact -- unveiled by PDW chair Mike Lounsbury -- was an OMT bandana announcing that OMT is "the place to be." Outgoing division chair Royston Greenwood was one of the first to don the bandana headdress.
As other chairs -- past, present and future -- followed suit, the OMT bandana quickly became a must-have fashion accessory. In the photo below, all three amigos are wearing their bandanas, with Royston joined by incoming division chair Matt Kraatz of Illinois and division chair elect Christine Beckman of UC Irvine.

Soon the look was even christened with its own moniker -- the Pirates of OMT -- demonstrated below by former division chairs Gerald Davis and Henrich Greve.
Inspired by all this creativity, we're announcing a "best use of the artifact" contest. Send us your picture of the OMT artifact in use, and you could be the first to receive the 2012 OMT artifact, hand delivered to you by Candy Jones herself at the meeting in Boston! To be eligible to win, please send your best use of the artifact photo to
