OMT WebOrganization and Management Theory Division of the Academy of Management
In 2015, OMT reported a record number of PDW submissions. Anaheim proved as attractive as Vancouver, as the number of submissions in 2016 almost equalled the record. What is more important, the content of these submissions was just as exciting, supporting our continued effort to help OMTers at all stages of career meet and engage with each other - making OMT the place to be!
We led a total of 31 regular PDW sessions, and 17 OMT cafes (now part of the new OMT Off-Program events) totalling 102 hours, and secured co-sponsors for virtually all of the OMT sessions (see highlights here).
Our wide range of events included:
The 2016 OMT artefact, the OMTattoos, gave OMTers a chance to show how identified they really are to our division!
If you missed them, look for me in Atlanta – I will certainly have some in my pockets!
We look forward to having a rich program again in 2017. Peer Fiss, our new PDW chair, wants your PDW submissions. Please contact him with your ideas for innovative PDWs.
I would also like to encourage you to submit your papers, symposium, and preferred topics to review for the OMT program. The submission system is now open and, and Peer and I both look forward to your submissions.
We all look forward to seeing you in Atlanta in 2017!
